1. Restoran HW Wanton Mee

It’s a favourite haunt of JB’s night owls. This was the crowd at 9:30pm last night. It gets more crowded during the wee hours. Owner Mr. Chan hails from Ipoh and set up HW Wanton Mee two years ago. HW just focusses on wanton mee. They have a JB supplier to make the egg noodles to their specification. HW originally just use the “black” sauce type of wanton mee which is the style in Ipoh. It comes with a mound of egg noodles topped with char siew slices, stalks of blanched choy sum greens and a semi-circle piece of fried wanton skin and the white sauce was gently savoury sweet with spicy heat at the end. The noodles are very elastic and taste. HW Tan Mee serves a good wanton mee and it’s a good place to go in JB if you have midnight cravings for food.

Fa Ge Lok Lok located just outside KSL Shopping Mall in JB, Fa Ge Lok Lok has countless of establishments strewn across the island and has certainly caught the attention of many. Here, the selection of skewers is aplenty, and the more famous ones being the skewered salmon, pigeon eggs and chicken meat. That also provide skewered vegetables, meat and seafood, that can be either boiled or deep fried. What sets this stall apart from others is the seasoning that they use. Most people usually opt for the fried version when they are here!

Famous Congee is a good place for simple yet delicious meals. The layout of the restaurant is simple and tidy. It has a very clean and bright interior. It is one of the places customers can have hot supper in Johor Bahru because it opens till 2:00am. As the name Famous Congee states, Hong Kong style porridge is the restaurant’s main theme. The porridge is made with a few different types of rice grains boiled in a broth of pork bones and anchovy until it becomes a sticky, cottony gruel. The hot porridge is served with sashimi grade Norwegian salmon and a raw egg. The congee was clean tasting with subtle savouriness and natural sweetness. Overall, a bowl of hot porridge on a cold night is an absolute treat.

The price for a plate of chicken chop here is dirt cheap. You will be paying RM5.30 for 3 well-fried and juicy pieces of chicken breast, coleslaw and fries. This place has the most delicious chicken chop I’ve ever had.
In addition, the shop assistant here is very friendly; the environment is also very comfortable. If you come here, you will definitely get a rich supper and have a good night.

5. Restoran Sing Lok Lok Steamboat

The workers will help us cook the food by boiling or fried the raw food prepared on skewers. There are quite a selection with cuttlefish, prawns, crabstick, baby clams, pork slices, pig intestines , bakkwa, broccoli and assorted balls. Take note of the color on the tip of the skewers for the different pricing. The workers will help us boil or fry lettuce made with strings. There are a number of options, including squid, shrimp, crab sticks, clams, pork slices, pig intestines, bread, broccoli and a variety of balls. Notice the color on the tip of the string at different prices. They have 4 types of sauces to dip our lok lok in, from sweet to satay to chili sauce. On top of lok lok you can also order local dishes from the shop we had lala soup.

The café is located at 1st floor of Holiday Villa Johor Bahru and only open from 6pm to 3am daily. There are more than 16 options here. Shopkeepers, who have a special interest in traditional ice rooms, especially go to Hong Kong to study, to restore the most authentic recipes. Their signature foods include Mango Pomelo Sago, Rockmelon Sago, Snow Pear Soup with Peach Gum and Ginseng and Egg Tart. If you are looking for instagram-worthy, this is a place to visit. This Salted Baked Chicken is one of their most popular dishes, and you can see it on their big name. Because Kampung chicken is wrapped in baking paper, so the size is not very large. After opening the package, you can smell a pleasant smell of herbal medicine. Their Wat Dan Hor also delicious too.

For those who like to eat seafood, Sanluo Seafood Restaurant will satisfy your desire for fresh local Chinese seafood. This is a completely open space hawker style restaurant with only one stall running. The seafood restaurant, which has grown from a small stand 30 years ago, has become a successful restaurant that attracts locals and Singaporeans. Although this is an open environment, the fan is placed in every corner of the restaurant. It is built on a broad and open space concept where customers can see cooks cook. Sanluo is not a typical seafood restaurant, with fish tanks, fish and other seafood on display, but a Chinese restaurant. The main course is mainly seafood. Restoran 777 food centre located at Taman Ungku Aminah. There have many stalls to sell the delicious food. At there, you will have many choices and having your food until midnight. Food corner is a culture of Malaysia that can let the people eat and talk together at there. Where can you find whatever you want to eat. Especially is the BBQ Fishman. That is the famous ikan bakar at there. The slab of fresh stingray cooked and served on a banana leaf was slightly charred on the outside and still juicy and tender inside. The bakar stingray come with a thick spread of sambal chili. Fortunately, the sambal chili was not stinging spicy – it was just a blend of moderate spicy, and slightly tangy and sweet with the fragrance of lemon grass and spices. The stingray was also garnished with generous toppings of lady’s fingers and petai.
