The next one on the list is the Good Friends Restaurant, which has been around for many years. It is located in the Genting Grand, the old part of the Genting Highlands. They have some dim sum dishes, but they may only have breakfast. It’s on a separate menu. If you go later in the evening, you can only choose ordinary Chinese food. However, it is quite expensive, and most meat dishes are around RM 50. Still, almost every restaurant in Genting is much more expensive for reasons such as logistics.

Go Noodle House is a popular chain in Malaysia and is common in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Originated from the ancient China, the legendary San Xian Tang Mi Xian is dubbed as the Best Noodle in The World by the KangXi Emperor. Hence you can see the interior and decor here exude a flair of the Qing Dynasty era. They are known for their noodles which are served in a soup cooked with some wine. So, that’s not halal. There are side dishes to the noodle house, such as some fried food.

Burger & Lobster is one of the best restaurants in Genting Highlands. This is actually a London chain that’s pretty popular and as the name suggests, they serve burgers and lobsters. But the price is definitely not cheap, because a lobster dish exceeds RM 100. The price of hamburgers is also very high. Even though it’s expensive, you should at least try it once in your lifetime.

Canton-i is another well-known Chinese restaurant chain, and can be found in the bigger malls in Kuala Lumpur / Selangor. They are famous for Hong Kong cuisine, especially noodles and fried Wantan. You can also find the famous Hong Kong milk tea here. If you like this dish, be sure to try it.

A new addition to Sky Avenue (Genting) is Hilltop Grocer and it is a supermarket but you can find some best food at here. They are basically a grocery store that looks more upmarket. However, they do have a food hall where you can buy food and dine there.

Palsaik Korean BBQ has also opened at the rooftop of Sky Avenue mall. Palsaik Korean BBQ pays special attention to its barbecue equipment to ensure healthy indulgence and maximum satisfaction. All iron products are tailor-made from South Korea and are returned quarterly for return services to maintain their cleanliness and non-stickiness in order to achieve the best barbecue process. These special alloy trays heat up quickly and make your pickled meat cooked in a short period of time before you realize it. They are famous for pickling pork in eight different condiments / sauces.

There’s also a Spanish restaurant with paella and tapas in Sky Avenue. It’s also located at the newer part of Genting. There are only places for 90 people in this restaurant and one of their signature dishes is the octopus with paprika potatoes. If you love Spanish food, do check them out. The prices in the restaurant ranges from RM30 to RM500.

The best place to get local food in Genting Highlands is probably the Malaysian Food Street. They have popular hawker food from all over Malaysia, so if you want to taste some Malaysian food, be sure to go to this place. It is at the top of Sky Avenue.
