Dayang Island

Pulau Dayang is the largest island in the East Peninsula of Malaysia. Its unique diving sites and fishing sites make the island famous among active divers and sports fishermen. But overall, the island is not so famous, although it offers amazing beaches and a wonderful underwater world. Oceania is likely to become an international tourist destination in Malaysia as a result of increasing accommodation and promotional programmers.

In fact, Pulau Dayang and four other islands form an Aur group, the area of Johor Ocean Park, because the island is full of incredible marine life. Pulau Dayang is the second biggest islands in the group. Pulau Dayang attracts sports fishermen from all over the world to buy a fish hunt. The island is full of ideal fishing spots. PulauDayang is mainly discovered by foreign tourists, especially divers, and even new divers are ideal places to train. The crystal-clear water allows divers to clearly discover the colorful underwater world.

Dayang Island Resort

1, Pulau Dayang, Johor

Dayang Island is the second largest island the Aur group. Separated by the Aur channel and facing the Pulau Aur Island, is Kampung Pasir Pulih – The Village of White Sand. This is where Dayang Blues Resort is located. You probably guessed it right, this is also a Singaporean-operated resort which is run by Gill Divers Pte Ltd in Tanjong Pagar in the city-state. The resort is famous among diving enthusiasts in Singapore because it can receive 300 guests at any given time. The resort is also the starting point for many Singaporeans to undertake the final phase of an open diving course. If the resort has at least 120 guests, 90% of whom may soon become certified divers.

Most standard or basic rooms offer a four-person bed, although during my visit, resort management can easily convert bed arrangements to double or triple sharing as required. After all, the resort was not fully operational in March. Some rooms are also equipped with old air conditioners, but most rooms do not. Otherwise, for affordable travelers, they can choose 6-pax or 12 pax dormitories. The resort does not have an adjunct bathroom. Behind the resort, operators offer at least 20 outdoor bathrooms.

Best Time to Visit Pulau Dayang

In the monsoon season, the entire island is susceptible to monsoon winds from the South China Sea. The island was open to the public from November to March due to big waves and strong winds. No ferry services. In the diving season from April to September, please visit Pulau Dayang. In these months, the water visibility of many Malaysian diving centers is good, including the Pulau Dayang and the divers can clearly see the coral reefs. In addition, the water temperature is in the normal range. However, be careful of the season of the jellyfish. It’s painful to be hurt by their stinging.
