Day 1

Stadthuys

Hoe Kee Chicken Rice

After shopping, you can enjoy your lunch at Hoe Kee Chicken Rice. Here is the popular destination for Malacca’s iconic chicken rice balls. It is advisable to reach early or be prepared to wait in line for your turn. Hoe Kee Chicken Rice opens early in the morning and closes just before evening time or when ingredients run out. The chicken rice here will definitely make you want to visit again.

Taming Sari Tower

Address: Jalan Merdeka, Bandar Hilir, 75000 Melaka

Opening Hours: 10am-11pm

After lunch, you can choose to stay in this 110-meter-high rotating tower. Here you will see all the attractions of Malacca. It provides a panoramic and interesting view of Malacca state within 7 minutes. The 7 minutes ride will host a great sight of the town such as St. Paul’s Hill, Melaka River Cruise, St. John Fort and Portuguese Square.

Malacca Trishaw Ride

That’s has a cool way to visit Malacca is to ride the Malacca tricycle for about RM 40 per hour. Rate is good for two persons.  Make sure you agree on the price first and what the tour covers before riding the trishaw. Melaka’s trishaw are stylishly decorated with flowers and stuff toys, featuring cartoon characters like Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Doraemon, etc and with blaring pop music.

Nadeje Cake Shop

After enjoying the beautiful scenery in the sky, you can come to this famous dessert shop in Malacca. Nadeje’s Mille Crepes wins any cafés or restaurants serving crepe cakes in Singapore! There are numerous flavours to choose from between non-alcoholic and alcoholic. In the non-alcoholic part, there are some flavors such as the original, it made from homemade cream Egg Custard and fresh cream, which enhance its smooth and rich the taste. Green tea’s cake also is the famous cake here which made from high-quality Japanese green tea and homemade red beans.

Dinner

Jonker walk

Almost in the evening, you can come to Jonker walk and wait for the night market. The night market will only be available on Fridays and Saturdays. It has many clothing and crafts outlets as well as restaurants and sells everything from tasty treats to cheap keepsakes. You can eat a variety of local snacks here, but you can also enjoy local culture and music in this bustling bazaar. Please remember not to eat too full, because there are not only the local snacks, but also all kinds of food waiting for you. There is also a special small street, which is full of bars. You can stay here and listen their live performances and drink until midnight.

Capital Satay Celup

Although there’s a lot of food in the night market, it’s the one of local food that you can’t miss. Capitol Satay Celup is one of Malacca’s favourite haunts for a savoury meal with loved ones. This pioneer of the satay celup business in Malacca City is located in Lorong Bukit Cina and is easy to find. Satay celup is a dish where raw or semi-cooked meat and vegetables on skewers are dipped into a hot pot of thick, spicy peanut sauce. The taste is something you can’t enjoy anywhere else.

Malacca has many specialty cafes. A lot of breakfast is good. This Kaya-Kaya Cafe also have some good breakfast and you can enjoy your breakfast in a quiet place. It is located not far from the Jonker Street. Their famous Kaya Breakfast is comparable to Big Breakfast and. Kaya Breakfast has two slices of toast, served with German sausages, fried mushrooms, eggs, bacon or ham and salad. Eggs can choose scrambled eggs or sun eggs; bacon is beef, ham is chicken, choose one from two. The Signature Sunshine is highly recommended to try! Thick black charcoal toast, topped with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon imported and topped with sesame sauce, it is really appetizer.

 

Island Hopping

Many people do not know that there is another way of playing in Malacca, that’s is you can enjoy the special Island Hopping. This is the Melaka Island Hopping set launched by Bintang Selat. That’s will take you to the Strait of Malacca, and travel to several islands. The islands include Pulau Besar, Pulau Hantu, Pulau Dodol, Pulau Upeh, Pulau Undan, Pulau Nangka and Pulau Hanyut. A few minutes after the sea, you can also watch the mosque on board. The mosque is surrounded by sea water. Moreover, the sea water is really super clear and can see the coral and the fish. Among the many islands, Pulau Undan has long stairs. By the way, a lot of couples come here to shoot their wedding photos. The Huskitory

The Huskitory is a famous pet cafe in Malacca. Its location isn’t as convenient as Taman Asean is quite a drive away (about 20 minutes from Jonker area) from Malacca city but its unique disposition makes it a novelty. The Huskitory is mainly a pet shop and pet beauty salon. Here have 9 huskies here for patrons to play with they are on rotation. In here, you can interact with husky at close range and can enjoy your coffee and cakes.

Klebang Original Coconut Shake

Klebang Original Coconut Shake is located along Jalan Klebang Besar. The coconut shake served by the eatery is considered to be one of the best among drinks that have been created to counter the sweltering climate of the country. The stall is divided into 3 sections for coconut opening, blending and serving. There are always so many guests that it’s not just reputation, but the coconut milkshakes here are very famous. The special one is served with topping of vanilla ice-cream. Guests can ask to increase or decrease the number of ice cubes. The coconut milk shake they serve carry good taste and flavoured.
